Children’s vision COULD be affecting their LEARNING

Did you know over 80% of a child’s learning is experienced through vision?

Vision problems affect 1 in 4 children, and many problems go undiagnosed. Children should have an eye examination before the age of two and at least once more before commencing school.

On average, one in every four children have a vision problem but may not complain about it because they think everyone sees the same way they do. Most remain undiagnosed and can affect performance in the classroom.

Common symptoms may include; eye rubbing, headaches, holding page too close or far, trouble copying from the board and squinting.

Vision Therapy

Strong eye muscles and excellent Visual Processing are essential for school performance.

The visual system is the key pathway of learning. The visual skills are critical to learning and reading. Vision Therapy aims to develop these visual skills through a program of customised eye exercises.
